FAQ - For Researchers

We want to list our lab's study with the RSVP. What do we need to do?
Just submit our Study Listing Request form and your UC Berkeley CPHS OR UC San Francisco CHR approval letter. If you are NOT affiliated with a UC Berkeley or UC San Francisco research lab and would like to list a study, please contact the RSVP Coordinator at rsvp email.

We don't have a berkeley.edu email address for our research group to receive RSVP submissions. What should we do?
Departments or other organizational or administrative units may have CalMail accounts for shared use. Complete the Departmental Email Application (PDF) and submit it to the User & Account Services office. You will be contacted once the account has been set up.

How long will it take for our listing to become active?
In general you can expect your listing to appear within a day or so of submitting our Study Listing Request form AND your CPHS approval letter.

RSVP New Study Announcements are sent out approximately twice a month after which you can expect to see a noticeable increase in the number of applicants for your study.

How long will our study listing stay active?
In general, your listing will be removed from the site after you have recieved 150% to 200% the number of pre-qualified applicants that meet the criteria that you specified in your listing request. You'll receive an email when your study is removed and, if you still need subjects, you can request that your listing be reactivated.

We encourage you to notify us as soon as you have enough qualified volunteers for your project.

We would like to prescreen potential subjects with a survey that is not in the current selection. What can we do?
Contact the RSVP Coordinator at ucbRSVP at berkeley.edu
